GSPHCDA SENSITISED 100 MEMBERS OF WARDS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEES ON THEIR ROLES IN PBF AT THE HEALTH FACILITY LEVEL
The Gombe State Primary Healthcare Development Agency/PIU through its performance based financing (PBF) project organised a two days sensitisation workshop for Ward Development Committees (WDCs) on their roles as gatekeepers of the contracted health facilities across the 11 political wards in the piloted LGA (Gombe LGA).
The participants were drawn from various communities in the 21 contracted PBF health facilities as the integral members of the health facilities as RBF committees. They were sensitized on their roles and responsibilities in order to be active in implementing the project.
Moreover, these committees were involved in the day to day activities of their health facility so as to encourage and support health workers towards improving the quality of services provided by those health facilities.
Finally, the participants appreciated the Project as welcome development to their communities and the state in general, they also promised to be fully involved for better results.
