NPHCDA IN COLLABORATION WITH GSPHCDA TRAINED LGA SUPERVISORS FOR NSHIP/PBF SCALE UP IN GOMBE LGAs

 

The National State Primary Healthcare Development Agency in collaboration with Gombe State Primary Healthcare Development Agency conducted five days certification training for scale up LGA supervisors for Nigerian State Health Investment Project (NSHIP)/ performance based financing (PBF) project. The PBF project seeks to improve the quality of healthcare services in the state through the use of high impact maternal and childcare interventions.

Thus building a team of certified supervisors to provide continues coaching and mentoring to health facilities on PBF best practices which is hitherto lacking will go a long way in mentoring the health facilities to perform better.

The scale up LGAs which are  Balanga, Dukku and Yamaltu-deba LGAs have gone through series of screening exercises which qualified 5 of its members from each LGA PHC department and HMB as supervisors for the scale up. The training was conducted from 10th-14th June 2018.
