NATIONAL MALARIA ELIMINATION PROGRAMME (NMEP) FROM FEDERAL MINISTRY OF HEALTH ABUJA, PAID AN ADVOCACY VISIT TO THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY GOMBE STATE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE DEVELOPMENT AGENCY DR ABDULRAHMAN SHU`AIBU.

Executive Secretary – GSPHCDA

The National Malaria Elimination Programme team from the Federal Ministry of Health paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary, Gombe State Primary Health Care Development Agency (GSPHCDA) Dr. Abdulrahman Shu’iabu on the 13th of August 2020. 

The team informed the Executive secretary that Gombe State is among the eight States chosen as vector control sentinel sites. The team also informed the Executive secretary that, resistance to Insecticide is a major cause for concern and pose a challenge towards the implementation of vector control interventions.

The ES stated that he will ensure that the intervention is properly monitored and supervised.  He also promised to provide the logistic support required for the smooth running of the sentinel site.
